Ltd. Poet’s Way’s jewel is 100 years old steamship
Tarjanne. Tarjanne sails on her traditional route Tampere –
Virrat – Tampere. Route goes along Näsijärvi lake
through Murole Canal and via Ruovesi to Virrat. There are many interesting
sights along the route e.g. Akseli Gallen-Kallela’s wilderness
studio Kalela (stop at Kalela only when Wilderness Home and Studio
of Akseli Gallen-Kallela is open).
Tarjanne’s 101th anniversary’s timetable has been modified
so that it is connected to various events which take place along
the route. There is also going to be wide range of entertainment
on board along the season honouring the 100th anniversary.
Tarjanne offers various cruises and package tours for individuals,
groups and companies. Sailing season starts already in May and continues
until October.
Tampere region is Finland’s most vivid in inland cruises
with approximately 120 000 passengers every year. Tampere area has
many interesting sights worth of visiting and there are very good
traffic connections to all over Finland.
